In a small hamlet on the banks of the Serio Riverstands a villa that is a perfect example of 18th century architecture. In 1936 the villa was purchased by the Maestro Arturo Toscanini, who chose the peaceful Cremasca countryside as a residence in which to compose his operas. In fact, the Maestro put the final touches on theopening concert of La Scala in this villa, which had just been rebuilt after the second world war.
The villa had many illustrious guests during the Maestro's lifetime and after his death in 1957, the property was handed down to his three sons, wholived there until the nineteen seventies.
